Tesla presented their first humanoid robot at a Silicon Valley event hosted by Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla. According to Musk, the robot will be released to the market within the next five years. The audience had a chance to witness a video of Optimus performing various tasks. Tesla is trying to develop this robot as a replacement for humans without going into a terminator path.
At present, Optimus can carry out tasks such as watering plants, carrying boxes, and lifting metals. The company engineers at Tesla stated that they planned to test their mass-market robots by making them work jobs in car factories. This robot could be bought by paying $20,000 within the next few years.
Similar to other innovations of Elon Musk, Optimus will be a game-changing product in the near future and there is a possibility where Optimus could lay out a huge impact on the next technological revolution.
